Extension linings, fanlights, overpanels & glazed screens
Extension linings, fanlights overpanels & glazed screens.
Doorsets can be supplied with extension linings, fanlights, overpanels & incorporated into screens as outlined below.
Extension lining
With the exception of Cubith where partition thicknesses exceed 169mm, an extension lining is used to extend the width of the frame to fill the reveal.
Transoms & fanlights.
Transoms are available for use with fanlights and with overpanels if required.
Wired or unwired glass for fanlights can be specified,* the maximum individual pane size that can be accommodated is 1000mm wide x 2000mm high for FD30. Alternative details for non-rated/ FD30
and FD60 fire rated fanlights, applicable to both situations, are shown below. Profiles/dimensions will vary depending on specific material and finish required.
Non-rated, FD30 & FD60 fanlights.
Glazed screens.
Door leaves can be incorporated into glazed screens constructed using the Barum frame section for which we can offer fire performance certification. Terminology and typical screen section combinations are illustrated here and it should be noted that, in some situations,
safety glass will be required. Screens are supplied ready for glazing by others on site and the frame section is available in hardwood or softwood.
Typical elevations for FD30 glazed screens.
Typical elevations for FD60 glazed screens.
